Executive Summary
The Cariboo-Chilcotin Beetle Action Coalition was formed to enable "Communities Working Together for a Sustainable Future".
The purpose of this strategy is to offer a framework for building and expanding the log home building industry in the Cariboo-Chilcotin region. Identifying the industry’s potential is critical to insure its success and future prosperity.
To build this strategy required three phases, all of which drew heavily on a consulting team with a critical blend of deep log home building experience and economic development, strategic, and community consultation expertise. Phase 1 focused on project introductions, and visiting the region. Phase 2 involved meeting with industry leaders, completing an extensive industry survey and seeking input from log building companies stakeholders in a group environment. Phase 3 involved combining and analyzing all information collected and drawing up a report to present the data, analysis, conclusions, and action plan.
