Green Heat Initiative Project
For the CCBAC region pilot area it has supplied support for Green Heat Initiatives in the form of locally developed alternative heating projects for Alexis Creek and Tatla Lake Schools. These plans have resulted in construction and installation of biofuel heating systems for these rural schools. Other projects include analysis and evaluation for potential bio-energy projects in Tsilhqot’in and Ulkatcho First nations communities which are either completed or underway and a Likely wood value added company for a potential system to supply heat for building and kilns. This a two year project.
CCBAC contribution: $35,000 • Project total: $138,000
More information on this project will be posted when available.
